The garden is a few steps closer to being a Fall/Winter garden only. We are going to be applying cover crops soon for soil fertility.
The seeds I sowed last week have popped up in the greenhouse and are looking healthy.
This weeks blog photo is of Sunchokes/Jerusalem Artichokes. They are tubers and are related to sunflowers. Harvesting them is fun and feels like treasure hunting. Similar feeling when harvesting potatoes.
Tomorrow is our last garden dinner of 2018 and there are only 2 tickets left!!! The dinners will start back up again in mid-March. Sunday is a ‘Dying & Aromatherapy’ workshop from 11-3pm. I believe there is still some availability for that if you wish to participate.
Current Harvest @ Saddlerock: Sunchokes, Chard, Kale, Butternut Squash, Collards, Peppers, Random Carrots & Blackberries, Artichokes, Thyme, Oregano, Rosemary, and Sages.
