Dec 10, 2018

Since the things have settled in a bit more since the Woolsey fire a month ago, I thought it would be a good time to report that Saddlerock Gardens is 100% okay. There has obviously been some damage to other areas of the property, but there is no stopping us!

The picture you see with this blog I took the day before the fire on Thursday Nov 8. It is a photo of a Great White Egret that spent some time with me in the garden. It was a pretty magical moment to see it soar into the garden and keep me company. I witnessed it snag a lizard and after enjoying its time among the plants, cruised away. Some symbolism behind a Great White Egret is peace, stability, harmony & good-luck. Their feathers are used in healing ceremonies to take away negative energy and to bring peace and harmony to a situation. I like to think that this beauty visiting the garden before the fire hit Malibu was a form of protection and balance. I felt incredibly blessed to share some time with it in the garden before it flew away.

Although the garden is temporarily not providing Winter crops, we plan to get things growing again when we get the go ahead.

Malibu Wine Hikes re-opened tours on Saturday Dec 9 and Malibu Safaris has been running tours again the past few weeks.

I am also happy to report that Goat Yoga is back in action with the final 2018 date being Sunday Dec 16 at 11:30am at the garden. I will soon be adding dates for 2019 when they are confirmed.

Looking forward to reporting more updates in the near future. Have a lovely Holiday and Thank You for all your continued support!!!
