March 15, 2018

Did anyone else give up on blow drying your hair this week?  I definitely did!  The rain was pretty remarkable.  I love how crisp the air is on a sunny day after a rain.  The garden has had a nice growth spurt with some pops of color.

This week was all about multi-tasking.  Sowing, Garden Dinner planning, Weeding, & Meetings.

I notified the chef of available harvest for the first Garden Dinner of 2018 tomorrow.  Should be a great evening, but definitely cold...but that is where the red wine will come in ; )

Some seedlings growing in the rock wool for the Tower Garden have sprouted.  I am still waiting on a few others.  Yesterday I felt like I was putting together IKEA furniture when disassembling & reassembling the Tower Garden.  But I wanted to clean it out before new plantings go in.  I am also happy to say I didn't electrocute myself after all the rains while checking to see if the pump still worked.  I told my co-farmer Ryland that if my hair is all staticky in a few minutes he will know why.

Goat Yoga for this Sunday March 18 got canceled yesterday.  They have too much going on.  My apologies for the inconvenience if you planned to attend.  Sunday March 25 is definitely on!

In other news, we have increased our 'Hike & Harvest' experience to 4x's a week. So if you love to hike, harvest produce to take home & go wine tasting than book that tour!

Current Harvest at Saddlerock = Oranges, Radishes, Kale, Collards, Carrots, Arugula (leaves & flowers), Red Mustard Greens, Microgreens, Lettuce, Turnips, Calendula Flowers, Fava Beans (leaves & flowers), & Herbs.
