Welcome back to some cooler temps! Definitely a treat if you work outdoors.
If you have never been to one of our Garden Dinners, on a Hike & Harvest experience, or to any of our class/workshops offerings, I highly suggest you book at least one of them right now. The garden is so beautiful with lots of produce pumping.
I noticed some tomatoes on the vines this week. They are currently green, but will soon be ripe for the taking!
Blossom mania is in full effect with potatoes, peppers, squash, tomatoes and of course ornamental & edible flowers. The plants/flowers viewed in this blogs picture are arugula flowers, bulls blood beet microgreens, sage, alyssum, calendula and borage. They were all used in a salad for last weekends Garden Dinner.
Sunday we have a few spots left for the 'Native Plant Foraging Hike & Tea Ceremony.' If that sounds of interest I advice you book asap. We also have another Garden Dinner next Saturday if you wish to join.
Current Harvest at Saddlerock: Loquats, Strawberries, Kale, Chard, Turnips, Collards, Carrots, Microgreens, Lettuces, Calendula Flowers, Fava Beans (leaves & flowers) and Herbs. Flowers for bouquets too!!!
