If heaven exists for Lady Bugs, it exists at Saddlerock Gardens! In my past 9 years of farming & gardening, I have never seen as many lady bug larvae & lady bugs that are presently in the garden.
There is a HUGE order of strawberries that just came in, which will be planted into the garden soon. We currently have a whole hillside of strawberries, but there could never be enough berries in anyones life right?! Especially with how expensive they are to purchase.
Our sunchokes aka Jerusalem artichokes are super happy and are a new crop to myself & Ryland. I am curious to concoct some new recipes. They still have more to grow before they are ready for harvesting, but I am looking forward to trying the out.
Seems like a holiday weekend of sun is finally around the corner! Tomorrow we have a Garden Dinner by Katie Hardin of 'Elf Cafe,' & Sunday is Goat Yoga.
Within the week all Saddlerock Experiences & Events will be posted on the Saddlerock Gardens website. See here for what I have posted so far: http://saddlerockgardens.org/events?view=calendar&month=May-2018
Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!
