The Heat is ON!!!  Or actually, maybe your air condition.  The one good thing this heat wave has brought us are plenty of ready for pickin' tomatoes!  Surprisingly this heat hasn't created more plants to bolt....yet.  However, it has slowed down garden projects.  It was 110 at the garden today!

The garlic and onions are starting to look like they can be harvested soon which is exciting.  My main concern the past few days have been our newly planted, 100 year old olive trees.  I made sure to give them extra water to get them through these high temperatures.

The photo posted with this blog is from a 'Native Plant Walk & Tea Ceremony' we had on site.  All the plants in the photo were harvested from the property & garden & used to make three different tea blends.  Participants loved the experience.

Tomorrow we have Yoga at the Garden and Sunday we have a Coffee Ceremony.  Feel free to book them under 'Experiences & Events.'

Current Harvest at Saddlerock:  Apples, Tomatoes, Beets, Collards, Strawberries, Carrots, Red Potatoes, Purple Potatoes, Kale, Microgreens, Artichokes, Hot Banana Peppers,  Sweet Peppers, Garlic Scapes, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Mint, & Edible Flowers.
