Whelp! We survived our 3rd heat wave. I have a feeling we will get another one in September & one in October since that has been the trend the past few years.
It was a productive week in the garden with plants being pulled, new beds being made and seeds being sown. Our Sunchokes are still standing tall and proud and starting to bloom their pretty flowers. They will probably be ready for harvest in a few weeks. Blackberries are still looking healthy but still not much eating of the berries.
Fennel, Echinacea, Indigo & Purslane were also transplanted to pots and placed in the hoop house.
In some exciting news we are getting some kittens to roam the garden area to help keep away pests.
There is Yoga at the garden tomorrow morning & a Garden Dinner in the evening. Sunday we have two Goat Yoga classes, so jump on that before they sell out!
Current Harvest at Saddlerock: Tomatoes, Beets, Strawberries, Carrots, Kale, Hot Banana Peppers, Sweet Bell Peppers, Chives, Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Mint, & Edible Flowers.
