Happy Fall Equinox!!!
The garden has been in clean up mode to prep for Fall/Winter crops. Our latest harvest at the moment is our Sunchokes (Jerusalem Artichokes). They remind me a bit of eating water chestnuts. The Sunchokes are actually being sold to Gjusta in Venice. We have also had some really plump and yummy blackberries lately. I can’t wait till next year when they will really take off. I have gathered 10 passionfruits this week too which was a nice treat!
We recently got a barn owl box, so I am curious to see how that helps us out in the garden.
Sunday we have our usual Goat Yoga classes. Please be sure to contact us should you ever wish to have a Private Goat Yoga Class. There are also only 3 Garden Dinners left of 2018, so definitely book one of those if you haven’t already. They make an excellent gift idea too!
Current Harvest @ Saddlerock: Passionfruit, Kale, Strawberries, Purslane, Artichokes, Sweet Bell Peppers, Ghost Chilli Peppers, Hot Banana Peppers, Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Butternut Squash, Eggplant, Chard, Flowers, Chives, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, & Mint.
