Her love for food began in her mother’s kitchen, which was filled with the delicious smells, and rich colors of local produce and healthy ingredients. She incorporates into her own cooking the myriad flavors she has come across in her world travels and she is inspired daily by the beauty and diversity of this planet and the wealth of food cultures that nourish people all over the world.

Guest chef ERICA DAKING
Guest Chef for the Garden Dinner on JUNE 1ST
Erica Daking is the chef and owner of cafe and catering company, Kitchen Mouse in Highland Park, Los Angeles. She is happiest when she is eating and cooking. Growing up with parents who were both serious and adventurous home cooks, she was exposed early and often to good food. Watching and acting out cooking shows and making cheese souffles out of “The Joy of Cooking” were normal childhood activities. In 2011, after a decade of playing music and working in the apparel industry, she indulged her childhood fantasy of becoming a chef. She studied French technique at Le Cordon Bleu and headed to Casperia, a tiny town outside of Rome, to work at a roadside restaurant and farm. From there she worked as a private chef and caterer which in the fall of 2012 evolved into Kitchen Mouse, her popular catering company for production and photo shoots. Kitchen mouse expanded into a restaurant in 2014 and added TOPO by Kitchen mouse, a vegan deli, bakery and gift shop in 2017.
